*NEW* TEEN CAMP
Box of Light Teen Camp: Stop Motion Animation : August 13th – 16th 10am-12:30 p.m.
Are you a fan of Kubo and the Two Strings, The Nightmare Before Christmas or Wallace and Gromit? This camp will teach students ages 12-16 to make their own stop motion masterpiece. We’ll work with clay, paper, Legos® and anything else we can get our hands on in this active camp. You will learn how to not only create smooth movement on screen but how to shape your film for comedy or drama, how (and why) to use sound effects to punctuate your film and how to move your film through the process of conception, creation and presentation. Animators, your film career starts here! Facilitated by Box of Light Director Rand Whipple. Contact museum to register. $110 per student. Need-based scholarships available.
