Daisies Money Counts Financial Literacy Leaf

January 28th 2-3p.m.

A staff member will lead a group of Daisy Scouts in activities so that they can fully complete the requirements to earn the Money Counts Financial Literacy Leaf. Daisies will explore and identify different types of coins and paper money, and how much toys or a trip to the park costs. Scouts must pre-register. Program is limited to 16 girls per session (minimum of 8). $12/Scout (includes museum admission and Leaf).

 

Brownies Money Manager Badge

January 28th 11-12:30p.m.

February 25th 1:30-3p.m.

Museum staff will lead a group of Brownie scouts in activities so that they can fully complete the requirements to earn the Money Manager badge. For Money Manager the scouts will shop for an outfit on a budget, learn how to comparison shop and read shelf tags at the grocery store, play games that teach about saving and spending. Scouts must pre-register. Program is limited to 16 girls per session (minimum of 8 girls). $12/Scout (includes museum admission & Badge).

 

Juniors and Cadets Intro to 3D Printing

February 11th 2-4p.m.

Learn about 3D printing and 3D modeling. Use 3D modeling software and create a model to print out. Try your creative hand at our 3D pens! Scouts must pre-register. Program is limited to 12 children per session (minimum of 8). $15/Scout (includes museum admission & Badge).

 

Juniors and Cadets Robotic Badge

January 14th 1-4p.m.

January 21st 1-4p.m.  Class Full Call for wait list

For the Robotics Badge, Junior and Cadet Girl Scouts will design their own interactive Lego Robots using the Lego WeDo system and then program their robots using drag-and-drop software. Scouts will also build LEGO models featuring working motors and sensors, then program their creations. Scouts must pre-register. Program is limited to 16 girls per session (minimum of 8). $12/Scout (includes museum admission & Badge).

Cancellation: If you cancel no less than two weeks prior to the class, you will receive a 50% refund to cover processing fees. No refund will be given if you cancel within two weeks of the class date.

 

Snow Policy: If weather conditions are poor and the museum is forced to close, parents will be notified by 8am that morning. A make-up class will be offered or full refund will be given.

 

Adult and sibling policy: If attending as a troop, 2 adults may stay with the groups of 8 or more at no charge, 1 adult may stay with groups of 4-7 at no charge. Additional adults must pay regular museum admission. Siblings of students attending the class must also pay museum admission.
