PAINT ME A STORY *NEW*
This Saturday morning storytime-art-studio-mashup is a whole lot of fun for your little ones ages 3-5. Storytime ignites preschoolers’ imaginations for creating hands-on art activities exploring colorful book themes and characters. Build language skills, color recognition, and small motor skills. Call the museum to RSVP. Free with regular admission. Adult must stay with child during program.

EXPECTING PARENTS RESOURCE CLASSES
This FREE monthly class, held each First Friday 7-8.m., is led by experienced childbirth educator and doula, Virginia Rivenbark, covers a range of topics like writing a birth plan, breastfeeding resources, preventing baby blues and more! Enjoy refreshments and meet other expecting parents. Check Facebook for details. Spaces are limited, please RSVP by the end of day prior to event by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or calling the museum. No Class in Sept.
Music Together® Family Classes
This internationally recognized early childhood music and movement program is led by certified music teacher, Kerry Kenny. Music Together® stimulates a love for music, movement, and learning in children ages newborn to kindergarten and the adults who love them. Wiggling, singing, and laughing with your child is so much fun—it’s easy to forget how much learning is taking place! Music CD & Songbook included. 8 class sessions run from Friday, Sept. 29th to Nov. 17th at 10:15 a.m. and 11:15 a.m. Registration required.

Second Annual Gingerbread House Competition and Display
Don’t miss the sights and smells of our Gingerbread House Competition and Display. Enter your own creation or enjoy viewing this amazing edible art by local artisans and kid hobbyists alike. Adult, family, and kids categories! Registration forms on our website and the Museum’s office.
Entry drop-off is Thursday December 7th. December 9th, winners will be announced at the Gingerbread Village Reception, 10-12p.m. Gingerbread creations will be on display from December 9th – December 31st, 2017.
Pre-show Activities Lightwire Theater: Electric Christmas
December 2nd 1-2p.m. Free children’s activities — Santa Circuits, Black Light Experiments, and neon art projects. Weis Center for the Performing Arts at Bucknell University, Lewisburg, PA.
Mini Petting Zoo – Sat. September – 9th 10-12p.m.
Do you love animals? Get up close and hands-on with various warm and furry critters while learning about them too. Free with regular admission.
Turkey Day – Nov. 25th – 11-1p.m.
Families are invited to a day of feathery fun at the museum with turkey crafts and games, plus get your picture taken with live turkeys! Wear a turkey on your shirt for $1 off.
First Fridays — Open ‘till Eight
The museum will be OPEN UNTIL 8p.m. the first Friday of every month! Special activities for the whole family. Check Facebook for details.
Culture Cafe: Global Meets Local *NEW*
Join us for an evening of storytelling, song, tastings, and crafts from places like India, Turkey, Colombia, Italy, Iran and Japan. Monthly on first Friday 6-7p.m. Sept. 1, Oct. 6, Nov. 3, Dec. 1 Check Facebook for details. Included with regular admission.
Families with Special Needs Night – Friday, September 15th – 6-8p.m.
During this unique program, the museum is open just for families with special needs. Extra staff will be on hand to help you and your family get the most out of the museum’s exhibits and activities. Admission is FREE for families with special needs members. All ages welcome.
Third Tuesday of the month, $2 admission all day! The Exchange will host hands-on Art Cart projects 10-2pm.
