Meet the Interns! – Kaitlyn Lassiter

Kaitlyn Lassiter is a senior communications major with a concentration in interpersonal communications and a minor in child life specialist. Kaitlyn is among the current interns at the Bloomsburg Childrens Museum.

Kaitlyn’s internship is focused on interacting with children and developing hands on, educational programs. A typical day at the museum for Kaitlyn consists of different activities like “Homeschool Hangouts.” When not working directly with the children, she is working on preparation for upcoming activities.

Kaitlyn’s favorite thing about her internship is the ability to work with children on a daily basis.

“My career goal is to keep working around children, so this is a great opportunity for me to get started. I love coming into the museum and being surrounded by a fun, energetic environment.” Kaitlyn explains.

A challenge Kaitlyn has endured during her time at the museum has been time management. She has been learning to manage her time in a way that ensures her tasks are completed with time to spare.

We are happy to have you, Kaitlyn!
