Meet the Masters: Mark Rothko

March 12 @ 11:30 am - 12:30 pm

January 15th: Modern Sculptures- This class will dive deep into the world of sculptures. From Jeff Koons to Damien Hirst, we will be learning about some of the most famous modern artists who take everyday objects, ideas, and concepts into 3D works of art. We will be using clay, paint, and a whole lot of inspiration from these famous artists to create our very own 3D art.

February 12th: Paul Klee- Paul Klee was known for his use of vibrant colors bold lines, and geometric shapes, like in his famous painting, “Castle and Sun.” We will create our very own, with a twist!

March 12th: Mark Rothko- Use color, emotion, and most importantly creativity with this color-blocking style of art. We will be exploring the artist Mark Rothko- the one who began this exciting art trend.

It’s never too early to introduce art through exploring the masters like Pollock, O’Keefe, and Picasso. Try the master’s style with a hands-on art project. Recommended for ages 6+. $12 (includes Museum Admission).
