Paint Me a Story- “The Day the Crayons Quit” by Drew Daywalt

January 15th: “The Day the Crayons Quit” by Drew Daywalt: Oh no! The crayons quit their job! This hilarious story will take you into the day in the life of crayons and leave you itching to create colorful masterpieces. We will be making rainbow books and creating colorful shiny works of art.
February 12th: “The Day It Rained Hearts” by Felicia Bond: This story is creative and sweet, perfect for Valentine’s Day craft! We will be making colorful heart wall hangings with lots of art exploration.
March 12th: “The 12 Days of St. Patrick’s Day” by Jenna Lettice: This festive story takes us through 12 busy days leading up to St. Patrick’s Day. We will be creating a HUGE rainbow with paint and sparkly gold glitter and the greenest shamrocks there ever were– all perfect for the luckiest holiday.
This story time-art-studio-mashup is a whole lot of fun for your little ones, ages 2-6. Storytime ignited preschoolers’ imaginations for creating hands-on art activities exploring colorful book themes and characters. Build language skills, color recognition, and small motor skills. $2 material fee plus Museum admission.
