The Great and Powerful Graphic Organizer! Tools for parents: A Make and Take Series.

The graphic organizer is so simple – just a few shapes and lines and yet it is an absolutely amazing tool that can cement learning in a short time. Join Jennifer Billig, of Hand in Hand Family Resource Center to learn about using graphic organizers to make everyday tasks easier for you and your child. This 3-session series happens on the first Tuesday of January, February, and March.

February 2nd: Visual Schedules Make a schedule for your child to follow at home. A morning/evening routine or a school routine tailored to your situation. 

March 2nd: Mindfulness and/or Sensory Kit. Sometimes it is difficult to manage frustrations and situations that are overwhelming, having tangible tools on hand can help children regain control.

April 6th: Responsibility Charts. Get your child motivated to participate in daily chores, using visuals or tangible items, and reward systems.
