In this 5-day clay camp with Miss Gail, campers will explore their creativity while learning the basics of working with stoneware clay. Each participant will design and craft a personal, one-of-a-kind tile using foundational clay-building techniques. They’ll bring their tile to life with vibrant colors and paint, discovering how texture, shape, and design come together to create a lasting piece of art. Perfect for young artists who love to get their hands dirty and express themselves through clay! Ages 6+.
This class will run Thursday, July 23rd – Friday, July 25th and then Monday, July 28th – Tuesday, July 29th. Miss Gail will fire the pieces over the weekend for campers.
Meet Miss Gail!
Miss Gail has been making art since she was a little kid! She grew up surrounded by creative people—her grandfather was a painter, and she loved spending time with him learning about his work. Miss Gail has tried lots of different kinds of art, like sewing, woodworking, and painting, but she fell in love with working with clay. Now, she has her own art studio in the mountains where she makes beautiful pottery and mosaics. She loves helping kids explore their creativity and can’t wait to make clay art with you this summer!
