Today’s Feature: Meet the Makers: Lynn Kibbe’s Scratchboard Fine Art

Join us in welcoming first-time maker Lynn Kibbe, a contemporary realism artist whose intricate scratchboard works capture the beauty and spirit of her subjects—especially animals. Through a meticulous process of carefully scratching away layers of black ink (and adding color when desired), Lynn builds stunning depth and detail, often spending many hours on a single piece. Her goal is to spark curiosity and wonder, inviting viewers to look closer and connect with the natural world.
During the event, Lynn will be demoing a work-in-progress scratchboard, giving visitors a firsthand look at this detailed and fascinating technique. She’ll also have original pieces and prints available to explore.
A full-time artist since 2010, Lynn’s work is featured in collections across the United States and beyond. Stop by to experience this unique art form up close and meet the artist behind it!
