Step into the outdoors and capture the beauty of the natural world through art and observation in Ink & Earth: Nature Journaling. Designed for curious and creative students, this camp blends science, art, and exploration into a meaningful hands-on experience.

Led by instructor Melissa Matthews, this immersive camp guides students in developing their own illustrated nature journals. Using pencil sketches along with pen and ink, campers will learn to carefully document natural objects with attention to detail and form. Watercolor techniques will be introduced to enhance their work, adding depth, color, and vibrancy to each page.

A wide variety of animal and plant specimens will be used for reference, encouraging close study and thoughtful observation. As students refine their artistic skills, they will also build a deeper scientific understanding of the natural world.
